ONLINE COMP SHOP - ASOS & ZARA

As I did with Topshop in store, I did an online comparison of petite sizing compared to standard sizing for the same garments. I have discovered that not only are petite garments made to fit shorter body proportions but retailers sometimes create petite garments to show more leg - because it looks more flattering.
I have included pictures below to show the comparison.

ASOS

ASOS is big competition. They have a massive selection of fashion for every occasion and every size - including Petite. They are constantly engaging with their audience via social media, email, text and magazines. Their price range is around the same as H&M's however their quality is slightly more inferior, nevertheless their huge fashion forward ranges as well as their quick delivery make them the biggest competition for my H&M petite range.
My aim for this comp shop was less to do with comparing price but inspiration and ideas for what I want my range to look like, so I have included loads of pics of the types of fit, detailing and shapes I want to create for my garments.

DETAILS & SHAPES include: sweetheart neckline, tassels, ruffles, wrapped hips/waist, obi belt style waist tie, pleats, asymmetric hemline, gathering, knots, ruched seams, belted waist, layering, plunging neckline.

ZARA

As I was not allowed to take photo's in Zara, I did an online comp shop.
Zara is H&M's aspirational competition, their sleek, sophisticated fashion forward styles and great quality garments are similar to those of H&M. They are more expensive - with dresses averaging about about £30 + compared to H&M's dresses which have an average starting price of around £20.
Zara's trousers average at around £30, compared to H&M's trousers which average at around £20.

I have included some photo's of some ZARA styles I liked as inspiration.
